How Real FIFA Faces Are Made
The FIFA faces are made with special equipment. A team of specialists visits the clubs around the world with this equipment.
Once they arrive at a club, they build a special tent. Inside this tent there are 18 camera’s in a certain position around a chair. This is the chair where the professional football player has to sit down for a few minutes.
Then the real life players are captured by all 18 camera’s. These camera’s are all around. So from the front, side, back etc. This way it only takes three minutes to take perfect pictures of one player.
Special developed software will combine those pictures to create a real FIFA face out of it. That’s how EA Sports creates super realistic faces since FIFA 15. Nowadays this technic is still used for FIFA 20.
